This is a very complex question, since there’s not enough information provided. For the best result, a further diagnosis test would have to be run. For the first part, we are unsure of what kind of disruptive he/ she was being. Now the second part, there’s many, many possibilities. But, we should not eliminate the possibly of this not being a mental illness or any kind of illness really. But, there is a few that he/she might have-or be developing. This could be a warning sign. Here’s the possible, reasonable ones that he MIGHT have:
•Conduct disorder | Here’s a definition from wellmind.com: “(Conduct disorder) is a condition diagnosed in children and adolescents under the age of 18 who regularly violate social norms and the rights of others. Children with this disorder display aggression toward people and animals, destroy property, steal and deceive, and violate other rules and laws. These behaviors result in significant problems in a child's academic, work, or social functioning.” There is a very high chance that he/she has this. This could explain the disruption and aggression to the cat.
•Intermittent explosive disorder| Now, this one isn’t as high of a chance as the first one, since this one is anger based. We do not know if these disruptions are anger based, though.
•Schizophrenia| even though there is not present signs of delusions, or voices, we can’t eliminate it (even if there is none, this disorder has many, many symptoms.
• Antisocial Personality Disorder| here is the definition from wellmind.com: “(Antisocial Personality Disorder) is characterized by a long-standing disregard for rules, social norms, and the rights of others. People with this disorder typically begin displaying symptoms during childhood, have difficulty feeling empathy for others, and lack remorse for their destructive behaviors”.
•Narcissistic personality disorder| here is a definition from wellmind.com : (Narcissistic personality Disorder) is associated with a lasting pattern of exaggerated self-image, self-centeredness, and low empathy. People with this condition tend to be more interested in themselves than with others”
Now, even though there might not be any direct signs that we know of, we should not eliminate the possibility of depression and anxiety. We should also not eliminate the possibility of there being no disorder present. BUT, there is a possibility that this is warning signs of a major act of violence.
