What is the difference between foliated and nonfoliated metamorphic rock? (science)

Foliated metamorphic rocks such as gneiss, phyllite, schist, and slate have a layered or banded appearance that is produced by exposure to heat and directed pressure. Non-foliated metamorphic rocks such as hornfels, marble, quartzite, and novaculite do not have a layered or banded appearance.

This is the condition known as Diarrhea.

Diarrhea is characterized by abnormally loose or watery stools. Most cases of diarrhea are due to bacteria, viruses, or parasites. Digestive system disorders can also cause chronic diarrhea. If a person frequently passes stools but they are of a normal consistency, this is not diarrhea.
