Serotonin is an important chemical and neurotransmitter in the human body that is responsible to regulate mood and social behavior, appetite and digestion, sleep, memory, and sexual desire and function. Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder characterized by eating large amount of food in a short amount of time.
