Discuss the similarities and differences between the feeding phase of the plasmodial

Both types of molds are glide on the surface in search of food. The difference is that the plasmodial molds feed on bacteria and fungi while cellular slime molds feed on dead materials.

Cellular Slime Mold:

They are present in the unicellular form if there is abundant form and replicate very fast. They feed on dead materials.

Plasmodial slime mold:

They are multinucleate unicellular molds that are glide on the surface in search of food.They slowly move like a blob to search for food.It is a survival mode of slimes.

Therefore, both types of molds are glide on the surface in search of food. The difference is that the plasmodial molds feed on bacteria and fungi while cellular slime molds feed on dead materials.

Both forms of slime mold exist as unicellular organisms when food is in abundance.  However, when there is food scarcity, the cellular form changes to the plasmodial form, then aggregate with other plasmodial forms to form a multicellular slime mold that moves, by cytoplasmic streaming,  in search of food.
