distance = 150m

displ = root (50 ^2 + 100^2)

root(2500+10000)

root 125000

mechanical advantage is given as

MA = E/L                      where E = distance of the effort arm from fulcrum

                                              L = distance of the load arm from fulcrum

as the fulcrum is moved closed to load , the value of E greater than the value of L

E > L

or E/L > 1

so  MA > 1

value of mechanical advantage greater than 1 signifies that it is easier to lift the load .

so  it be easier to lift the load if the fulcrum was moved closer to the resistance load (output).
